Which books do the time quotes come from? Well, currently the Literary Clock reference library contains 1313 books. Now how best to display them? Well there is always alphabetical, but I actually find chronological order the most interesting, going from on the hour times from Shakespeare and Pepys to the precise times coming with naval navigation from Mutiny on the Bounty to train timetables in the Victorian era and onwards as all literary characters begin to own their own timepiece / watch / phone.
